Great place. Love the open floor plan and that each couple had their own ensuite. Will definitely return.
I was exposed to COVID-19 on 12/28/21, the day before my check-in date, and chose to cancel my reservation in order to protect others. However East Island Reserve nor the third party vendor, Hotel.com would provide a refund or change my check-in date. Yes, there was a no-refund policy listed on hotel.com, but as a nurse it is my moral responsibility to protect others. It's really unfortunate how companies are allowed to enforce such a policy in the midst of a global health pandemic when no service has been provided. Needless to say, I will no longer patronize either company.
Absolutely EXCELLENT. Spotless, spacious and tastefully decorated. Perfect location for our wedding party.
We recently stayed at east island reserve and while the stay itself was pleasant overall, it’s sad to say we won’t be back. We unfortunately had a disappointing experience at the very end. After we had checked out, we were finishing up a few last things by the pool and needed just a few minutes to gather our seven kids’ belongings—we were two families traveling together, so it was a bit of a process.
Initially, the manager allowed us a few extra minutes, but after about ten minutes she came over and, in a very rude and uncomfortable manner, told us we were trespassing and needed to leave immediately. We understand hotel policies and liability concerns, but the way it was handled felt far from hospitable.
We just needed a short grace period to get everyone’s things together, and being hovered over and told we were trespassing left a really negative final impression. It’s unfortunate because otherwise our experience was nice, but the departure soured the stay for us.
The cottage was lovely and really helped my wife and I relax after our wedding reception. My wife and I are contemplating renting here again for our 1 year wedding anniversary next November.
