Fall is arguably the best time of year in Newport. We especially like the smaller crowds, cooler air and fun outdoor activities and events. We rounded up some of the must-see and must-do fall festivities.

Newport International Boat Show | Downtown Newport

Experience over 600 exhibitors and brand new powerboats and sailboats from domestic and international companies. Walk the docks and view the new boats or stay on land and visit the vendors or listen to the seminars. This event runs from September 14th to 17th. Newport Oktoberfest | Fort Adams State Park, 80 Fort Adams Drive

Second annual Newport Oktoberfest is happening on September 16th, hosted by Fort Adams Trust and Ragged Island Brewing Company. Enjoy authentic German beer, food and live music. Click here to buy tickets.

Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival | Rosecliff, 548 Bellevue Avenue

Experience an educational tasting and dinner and brunch at Rosecliff. The Vintner Dinner will be hosted by Andrew Zimmerman! Click here to purchase tickets.

Audrain's Newport Concours & Motor Week | Various Locations

The Audrain's Automobile Museum presents its third annual Audrain's Newport Concours & Motor Week, a four-day event that brings the finest automobiles, both new and old, to the Classic Coast. This event runs from September 28th to October 1nd. Click here to view the schedule.

Bowen's Wharf Seafood Festival | Bowens Wharf

Enjoy fresh local seafood, drinks and live music under festival tents. This event is free admission but food and beverages can be purchased at vendor booths. This festival was named one of the "10 Fabulous Fall Festivals on the Coast", by Coastal Living Magazine. The festival will be held on October 14th & 15th, rain or shine.

Broadway Street Fair | Equality Park to Farewell Street

The Broadway Street Fair is back! From Equality Park to Farewell Street, Broadway will be shut down for people to stroll and view artists, makers, food vendors, and have fun. This event is free and open to the public and is happening on October 14th. Click here for more information.

Heart & Sole Walk for the Animals | Fort Adams State Park, 80 Fort Adams Drive

Join animal lovers across Rhode Island, walk to raise funds, and save lives. This event is Potter League's biggest fundraiser, with proceeds helping animals in our community. The event runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 22nd. Click here for more information.
